Social Welfare   As a state enterprise, we act out our governance concept in line with social responsibility. We concern about public welfare, we make contributions to the society and we boost social harmony.   When it was the time the southern part of the country suffering form snowstorm; when it was the time 5.12 earthquake happened in Sichuan, Sinoma Group in related areas actively participated in local rescuing and relief works. All other units also made very generous donations, showing their great dedication of love and the good ethos of Sinoma. According to statistics, Sinoma Group has made an over thirty millions donation during those hard times. In the end of 2008, Sinoma has honorably achieved the Chinese Charity Award Two major units were honorably named by the State owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission as Advanced Anti disaster Group and Advanced Basic level Organization. Two individuals were also commented as Advanced Earthquake-relief individual and outstanding party members respectively.   In 2008, Sinoma raised a 400 millions aiding fund to build a number of Hope Primary School in XinJiang. All the schools were named as Sinoma Hope Primary School. In early 2008, Guizhou Province has gone through the hardest hit of snowstorm. Schools were hardly hit by the disaster and education assessment in the disaster areas was at risk. Tianjin Institute Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Sinoma, therefore raised a 300 thousands aiding fund, helping to build a hope primary school in Guizhou Province.   Global Compact   September 2008, Sinoma Group became a member of United Nations Global Compact. It declared to strictly follow the ten principles of Global Compact and will continually work to facilitate corporate social responsibility.    Energy-saving and emission reduction   State government shows high concerns on the problem of promoting economic structural adjustment, resources saving and building a environment friendly society. Sinoma works actively in line with the call. It works on sustainable development strategy; works vigorously to promote energy-saving and emission reduction works; also works proactively to develop circular economy.   Sinoma Group actively implemented pure low-temperature-waste heat power generation project. The four production lines in its subordinate enterprises like Sinoma Cement, Tianshan and Ningxia Building Materials have all been put into operation successfully. Some other heat generation production lines are also in procedure to promote energy-saving and reducing emission. All these further enhance company’s profitability.   Under the Sinoma Group, Taishan Fiberglass successfully achieved pure oxygen combustion pathway, lowering 50% energy consumption; Developed low-fluoride formula and other new types of low-boron, reducing emission and lowering production cost. Sinoma Group based on the development of circular economy, applying the current domestic and foreign advanced production of new dry cement and adopting technology of Pure-low temperature waste heat power generation, it makes a great success on the field of environmental protection, energy saving, comprehensive utilization of resources. With all the development reaching an international advanced level, it makes a great contribution in structural adjustment and ultimately upgraded the entire cement industry in China.
